Patricia Juana Merrill Márquez was born in San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico, and grew up biculturally. Although her formal training and professional practice has been — for over 37 years—in architecture, (she graduated from the Universty of Guanajuato), city and regional planning, and real estate brokerage, Patricia’s current activities are a Bed & Breakfast Inn, a “Mexican Cooking Vacation,” and writings that present a rich background of double heritage. |
MexicanCookingVacation.com, based upon a school established in León, Mexico in 1968, is a program inherited from Patricia’s New England Yankee Dad and Mexican Mom, based upon their program, “Vacations With A Purpose.” Patricia has been a member of IACP International Association of Culinary Professionals for 7 years. Patricia’s linguistic heritage from her language-teacher father and mother team, as well as three generations of cooking expertise, initiated—on her mother’s side—in the convents of San Miguel de Allende, have properly fed this enticing and delicious display of timeless sayings and Patricia Merrill Márquez authentic recipes of Mexico. |
